January 14-26 Youth Leadership Program, Group of 9 from Brazil: Focus on business development through visits to small and large business, meetings with local businesses leaders, and several workshops.

February 13-15 U.S. Defense Policy, Base Relations and the U.S.-Japan Alliance, Group of 2 from Japan: Relationship between military bases and local communities, U.S. military priorities and foreign policy, defense policy formation, U.S. Defense Policy Review Initiative process.

March 6-10 Anti-Corruption Issues for NGO Leaders, Group of 5 from Slovakia: Accountability and watchdog techniques used by successful NGOs and investigative journalism.

March 20-24 Teaching English as a Second Language, Multiregional Group of 8: the organization and methodology of various American Teaching of English as a Second Language programs, especially as they apply to large groups of students.

March 24-28 Science Education in American Primary and Secondary Schools, Group of 7 from Near East Asia and North Africa. Science education at federal, state and local and grassroots levels, curriculum development in primary and secondary schools.

March 24-27: Grassroots Citizen Democracy, Group of 4 from Thailand: How a democratic society runs, highlighting concerns of religious and ethnic communities and the role of advocacy for those groups and legal issues involved.

April 1-6 Parks, Biodiversity, and Eco-Tourism, Group of 5 from Cameroon: The U.S. national park system, conservation policy, environmental protection, and tourism standards.

April 21-26 Volunteerism: United We Serve, Group of 2 from multiple countries: Designed for NGO leaders to examine volunteerism and community service in the United States.

April 10-17 Open World – Specialized Rule of Law, Group from Russia: Governance in a democratic society including the concepts of accountability and transparency, the separation of powers, and the interrelationships of federal, state, and local governments.
