Emily Davies

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Emily makes the most of sunny days. Emily graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in International Relations and Humanities. Driven by her passion for world affairs, Emily traveled to El Salvador and taught English in a Youth Center during her first college summer. This led her to later study abroad in Quito, Ecuador. In Ecuador, she gained research experience interning in the Secretary of Health’s Quito office. For the remainder of college, Emily worked for an immigration attorney. She continued to research immigration laws and spoke at several conferences and events advocating for immigration policies. After college, Emily moved to South Lake Tahoe, California and worked as a Homeless and Foster Youth Advocate with the school district. Most recently, she served low-income families in South Lake Tahoe by helping parents pay for childcare with a nonprofit called Catalyst Community. Emily has enjoyed learning from and serving immigrant communities in the last three years and hopes to continue engaging with other cultures as a new Seattle resident. In her free time, she loves to hike, run, swim, and find new favorite coffee shops.
