Kendall Guthrie
Kendall Guthrie is a strategy and management consultant to foundations and social justice nonprofits. She is also Board President of Cristosal, one of the leading human rights organizations working in the Northern Triangle of Central America.
She brings a deep understanding of the nonprofit ecosystem, having worn many hats: grantee, funder, executive, board member, industry analyst and program evaluator. She has specific expertise around effective philanthropy, nonprofit capacity and education equity. She’s worked with organizations of all sizes and types, established and emerging, thriving and struggling. She has held staff and high-level advisor positions for leading foundations, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the College Futures Foundation, Social Venture Partners, the Packard Foundation and the California Endowment.
She has lived in Seattle for 20 years and is active in the local community. She served on the Advisory Board of College Possible Washington. She’s been a frequent host for World Affairs Council exchange students and professional visitors.
She holds a PhD from the Annenberg School for Communications at the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University. She is also a Certified Co-Active Professional Coach.
