The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the World Affairs Council which is a member of Global Ties U.S.
Current U.S. Social, Political, and Economic Issues for Young European Leaders I: 18 young European leaders will visit Seattle to gain exposure to current U.S. social, political, and economic issues and associated policy formulation, focusing on homelessness in the United States, local economic recovery from COVID-19, multidisciplinary approaches in tech policy, and youth perspectives on education and advocacy.
Combating Trafficking in Persons: Eleven immigration officers, heads of protection services, and more from all over the world are coming to Seattle to highlight enforcement against traffickers, initiatives to protect and assist victims, and international cooperative efforts to combat trafficking in persons.
Not too Young to Run – Engaging Youth in the Political Process: Through this multi-regional project, 23 young local and national government officials, political leaders, NGO representatives, and activists from 23 different nations worldwide will examine leadership and communication strategies to manage political and social challenges, and review frameworks for successful political, social, and economic policy formulation.
