GLX Programs: June 2023

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the World Affairs Council which is a member of Global Ties U.S.

Sustainable Fisheries Management: Six industry leaders, environmental activists, journalists, and regulatory authorities from Indonesia will come to Seattle to learn about U.S. sustainable seafood practices, and creating environmentally sound seafood products with high economic benefits.

Transparency and Accountability in State and Local Government: Eight municipal council members and state legislators from Venezuela will travel to Seattle to explore the structure of ethics in government in the United States and the best practices underlying transparency and accountability.

Closing the Skills Gap: Indigenous Education and Skills Training - Six First Nations Leaders & Professionals in indigenous policy and education will visit Seattle to learn about strategies and practices for empowering Native Students at Universities and in Urban Areas, as well as empowering Native communities in employment services and industry.
