Join Global Family Travels and the World Affairs Council's Global Classroom program in Bali in 2024 to learn first hand from Balinese non-profit organizations working to resolve critical global issues. This trip is open to educators, students, community members, and families and will be led by Global Classroom Director, Ryan Hauck!
On this family-friendly adventure you’ll learn about the Tri Hita Karana, the central philosophy of the Balinese people and take a deep dive into examining the negative effects of plastics on through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #14, Life Below Water. By spending your days engaging in activities with Balinese people, you will get a deep sense of the culture and daily life in Bali. You will learn about local arts at the Banjar, visit sacred temples and palaces, see a traditional shadow puppet performance, and visit local organizations addressing some of Bali’s biggest challenges to provide you with a truly unforgettable immersive experience.
