Sofya Yuryeva

Sofya Yuryeva is a junior at the University of Washington majoring in European Studies and Communications with a minor in Political Science. As an immigrant from Russia, she believes that global issues can be addressed more successfully through an active engagement of all communities, one step at a time. Her passion for the global affairs led her to the World Affairs Council, as a development intern. In the future, Sofya is planning to work in the international affairs, potentially focusing on the political communication or human rights. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, fashion, photography and trying new foods.
