Lydia Tu
Lydia is a recent graduate from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business with a BA in Accounting and Finance and a minor in French. There, she also completed the Certificate of International Studies program where she studied international topics primarily concerning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In the fall of her junior year, Lydia participated in an exchange semester in Paris, France for four months where she took classes on corporate finance and luxury brand management. During her time abroad, she also solo-traveled throughout London, Frankfurt, and Prague!
During high school, Lydia was involved as an assistant at an after-school club in the Bellevue School District for middle school students where the goal was to promote greater financial literacy and to discuss topics such as profit, return, and risk. She also volunteered over a summer in Shanghai to hold English classes for elementary and middle-school aged students coming from surrounding rural areas. During college, Lydia was a teaching assistant for an introductory financial accounting course which only furthered her interest in education and teaching.
Lydia is very passionate about international relations, business, and education! She hopes to create a positive impact on her community and provide resources to educate and inform about global topics and deepen cross-cultural understanding. In her free time, Lydia loves to read, cook, and explore the city.
