Jocelyn Scheintaub
My name is Jocelyn Scheintaub. I am currently a Materials and Processes Engineer at Stratolaunch via Aerotek. I have spent 7 years of my career at Blue Origin working on a large variety of challenging materials projects from thermal protection material development for an orbital vehicle to determining the best way to paint a feather on a rocket. While working full time on these highly technical, I went back to school to obtain my Masters in Engineering Management in order to develop my leadership skills. My background has not always been engineering. I have a Master’s in chemistry from U.C. Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in both Chemistry and English from the University of Massachusetts. I also had the good fortune to be a Fulbright Scholar in 2006/2007. I spent that year in Germany working on developing organic solar cells. Recently, I started missing having the opportunity to have global conversations and learning about other cultures so, over the last few years, I have hosted Iraqi students through the IYLEP program and the World Affairs Council. While not building rockets or hosting international students, much of my personal time is spent exploring, cooking, running and learning.
