Avik Bhattacharya

Avik Bhattacharya is director of International Strategy & Business Development for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, which is based in Seattle. Avik leads a team responsible for developing strategic partnerships, industrial participation strategies and other business collaboration opportunities in leading markets that include India, Southeast Asia, China, Japan and Australia.

Previously, Avik served as Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ director of Business Development and Strategy, in Boeing’s office in New Delhi. In that role, he was responsible for developing and growing Boeing’s in-country industrial collaboration with several Indian private-sector companies, such as Tata Group, Bharat Forge, the AV Birla Group and information technology firms, and also worked with Indian government entities.

Prior to joining Boeing, Avik has worked in mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting and business development roles in China, Indonesia, Germany, France and India. Avik speaks multiple Indian languages and makes do in Mandarin and French. Avik has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Indian universities. Avik and his wife Haimanti live in Seattle.
