Bobby Stewart
Bobby Stewart is a 2018 graduate of the University of Puget Sound, where he studied International Political Economy (IPE) and Politics & Government. He is especially interested in Chinese politics and the geopolitics of the Asia-Pacific region. He completed his senior thesis on the South China Sea conflict and what it indicates about Beijing's regional strategic outlook, which was awarded the Susan Strange Award for Outstanding Achievement by the University of Puget Sound's IPE department. Bobby's passion for learning about international relations, the politics of foreign countries, and the interaction of economics, politics, and social issues has led him to the World Affairs Council as an intern in the International Visitor Program.
Outside of these interests, Bobby loves to be outside just about any way he can. His favorite ways to explore are mountain biking, running, snowboarding, and taking photos. Bobby also works on the communications team at Northwest Avalanche Center, where he helps to create and execute public outreach strategies to further the nonprofit's mission of equipping and empowering the Northwesterners to travel in the wintertime backcountry and reduce the deadly effects of avalanches.
