Samantha Berrios
Sam was born and raised in El Salvador and moved to Seattle in 2012. She is currently a senior at Seattle Pacific University majoring in Visual Communications. Her interest in graphic design began when she became the yearbook advisor of her high school. During that time, she found her passions such as photography, fine art, film, and fashion. Sam’s interests in the design industry focus on product design, editorial design and brand identity design.
Sam volunteered at the King County Library for a year in which she helped organize events for young adults and children. These events focused on helping young people become aware of their roots and learn from different cultures at a young age.
In her free time, Sam likes go around the Seattle and Bellevue areas and take photographs. She also likes to check out new exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum. Two of her favorites so far are Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors and Victorian Radicals. Sam also is fluent in Spanish and is learning Italian. In addition she is a huge fan of film and soccer. She played soccer for two years as a left wing during high school and her favorite team is FC Barcelona.
