Sarah Rose Shuer
Sarah Rose Shuer joined the World Affairs Council as a Global Classroom intern in 2020. Sarah Rose’s educational background is in International Studies and Education, with a focus on refugee/immigrant communities and International Education Development. Her passion for working with diverse groups and also interfaith dialogue came from her deep involvement with Kids4Peace both in Seattle and Jerusalem, which is a global grassroots effort that promotes peace through interfaith dialogue, community building, leadership development, and nonviolent communication. Kids4Peace has taught her about conflict resolution, the importance of social justice for everyone, and the power in understanding that there around the world, including in Ukraine, Georgia, Israel, Palestine, and Greece.
When she’s not working, you may find her watching Forrest Gump, exploring the great outdoors, or taking dogs for walks. She was born and raised in Maine and has called Seattle home since 2013.
