Pippa Zainoeddin
Pippa is a Senior Officer on the Philanthropic Partnerships Team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In her role she coordinates strategy development, grant management, and business operations for a team that is focused on increasing the quantity and quality of private philanthropy globally. Prior to joining the foundation, Pippa served as Chief of Staff of the Community Affairs division of an American mining company with operations in Indonesia’s easternmost province of Papua. There she managed the company’s USD100 million per year community investment strategy that supported indigenous communities living around the mine. Pippa’s early career was in fundraising and strategic planning at non-profit organizations focused on education and poverty eradication in New York City. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art History from Wellesley College and a master’s in International Affairs and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She received a Fulbright-Hays scholarship to study language in Indonesia and has also served on the selection committee for Indonesian Fulbright applicants who wish to study in the US.
