YPIN Global Café: The Role of Education in Creating a Better World
May 22nd, 2024 6:00PM -8:00PM
As the world has become increasingly interconnected and interdependent, educators and students are faced with the challenge of becoming globally competent. What does that mean? Join YPIN (the Council's Young Professionals International Network) and Global Classroom for a casual but important discussion on the role of global education in the American classroom, the diverse opportunities that exist for collaboration between school communities around the world, and how engaged global citizens can make a difference in addressing 21st century issues.
Below are some optional readings that illuminate the theme of global education and will introduce some topics that are relevant to this Global Café. If you aren’t able to take a look at them prior to the event, no worries! There is no required preparation for this informal conversation, and we look forward to hearing the individual expertise you already have.
