Global Competence from the Student Perspective | Heritage Language Program
February 8th, 2022 6:30PM -8:00PM
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Date: February 8th, 2022 | 6:30-8:00PM PT | via Zoom
The Global Competence Certificate Program was created to track students’ development of competencies that are critical to their success as globally-engaged citizens who can contribute meaningfully to resolving global issues and ensuring a prosperous and equitable global economy. How do students engage with four domains of Global Competence: Investigate the World, Recognize Perspectives, Communicate Ideas, Take Action?
In this workshop, educators, students, and interested community members have the opportunity to hear directly from students who have earned the Global Competence Certificate from the World Affairs Council as they share highlights from their GCC portfolio websites. We will also explore the Sustainable Development Goals as a rich resource for researching important global issues.
Washington State educators can earn up to 3 clock hours by attending the workshop and completing the discussion forum questions in Canvas. Register today!
