About the Millennium Challenge Corporation
Established by the US Congress in 2004, MCC partners with the world’s poorest countries to reinforce just and democratic governance, economic freedom, and investing in each country’s own population.
Funded through U.S. congressional budget allocation, MCC partners with countries around the world to incentivize and fund countries with high potential for economic growth and a shared goal of creating good governance and reducing poverty. MCC investments aim to support stability and prosperity in partner countries while furthering American interests such as transparent institutions and free market economic policies.
