Not Too Young to Run - Engaging Youth in the Political Process: Twenty educators and heads of government from all over the world are coming to Seattle to examine leadership strategies to manage political and social challenges, examine election and voting procedures, and review advocation for the decision-making process.
Supporting Nuclear Nonproliferation: Four heads of science and energy from Kazakhstan are coming to Seattle to discuss frameworks for the use of nuclear technology, and research and practices relating to nuclear nonproliferation.
Providing Efficient and Transparent Government Services: Four municipal government representatives from Kyrgyzstan are coming to Seattle to explore ethical systems for accountability and transparency in government, the role of citizens, academia, and media in fostering accountability, and the effect of transparency on trade, investment, and development.
Strengthening the U.S.-Japan Alliance through Leadership Development: Five leaders from various sectors in Japan are coming to Seattle to explore efforts to strengthen the U.S.-Japan alliance through base-hosting community leadership development, and showcase effective practices for creating change within complex bureaucracies.
Improving Access to Community Spaces: Six government representatives from Indonesia will come to Seattle to develop strategies that enable creation of new systems and policies that improve laws, rules, norms, and organizational structures to improve accessibility for all segments of Indonesian Society.
Competitive Digital Infrastructures: Five infrastructure representatives will visit Seattle to analyze networks between the U.S. data centers and ICT regulators, and policy and regulatory environments conducive to the use of hyperscale data centers.
The Secure and Sustainable Infrastructure Program (SSIP) is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs administered by CRDF Global in partnership with World Affairs Council.
Secure and Sustainable Infrastructure Program (SSIP): Seattle is the first stop for eight professionals in the energy sector from Bangladesh, Fiji, Nepal, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka participating in the third cohort of the inaugural SSIP program. They are learning about new approaches and strategies toward securing a clean energy future and port management.
