The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the World Affairs Council which is a member of Global Ties U.S.
Preparing Pakistan for Effective Disaster Response: Floods, Droughts, Heatwaves: Seven environmental leaders from Pakistan are coming to Seattle to discuss emergency preparedness, management, planning, and response, international cooperation in responding to natural disasters, and collaboration between different sectors in preparation and response to such disasters.
Combatting Trafficking in Persons II: Eleven immigration officers, heads of protection services, and more from all over the world are coming to Seattle to highlight enforcement against traffickers, initiatives to protect and assist victims, and international cooperative efforts to combat trafficking in persons.
The Iraqi Youth Leadership Exchange Program (IYLEP) is funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by World Learning in partnership with the World Affairs Council.
Iraqi Youth Leadership Exchange Program (IYLEP): 19 high school students and 2 adult mentors from Iraq will visit Seattle to participate in a two-week long youth program that is designed to build their leadership and civic engagement skills and to showcase local efforts towards environmental sustainability and digital literacy.
The Secure and Sustainable Infrastructure Program (SSIP) is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs administered by CRDF Global in partnership with World Affairs Council.
Secure and Sustainable Infrastructure Program (SSIP): Seattle is the first stop for eleven professionals in the energy sector from Bangladesh, Fiji, Nepal, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka participating in the second cohort of the inaugural SSIP program. They are learning about new approaches and strategies toward securing a clean energy future.
TechGirls is a U.S. State Department initiative that is administered by Legacy International in partnership with the World Affairs Council
TechGirls: 21 young girls aged 15 - 17 from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the United States will visit Seattle for Tech Girls, an international summer exchange program designed to empower and inspire girls to pursue a career in STEM.
Open World is a U.S. Congressional Office for International Leadership initiative that is administered in partnership with the World Affairs Council
TechGirls: Five activists and one facilitator from Georgia will visit Seattle to discuss fighting for gender equality, societal inclusivity as a whole, and evolving activism, legislation, and societal norms to be more inclusive.
