The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the World Affairs Council which is a member of Global Ties U.S.
Global Economic Cooperation: Twenty analysts, financial traders, and heads of commerce from all over the world are coming to Seattle to discuss international trade and business expansion, and seaports and their importance to trade.
Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists: New and Traditional Broadcast Media II: 22 journalists from 20 countries will visit with local news organizations in Seattle to learn about new technologies that shape the way news is reported and consumed, as well as hearing perspectives on the future of broadcast media.
Intellectual Property Rights: Seven legal and patent experts from Iraq are coming to Seattle to understand the United States' infrastructure supporting intellectual property enforcement, and the significance attached to protection of patent rights for all sizes of businesses, academia, and NGOs.
Integrated Cybersecurity Education: Six cybersecurity experts from Indonesia will visit Seattle to exchange cybersecurity practices with U.S. experts, explore methods to strengthen cyber workforce development, and highlight the importance of software and hardware in education and production environments.
Combatting Plastic Pollution: /Four heads of waste and environmentally-conscious businesses from France will visit Seattle and discuss public and private sector efforts in policy, research, technology, and infrastructure to combat plastic pollution, review solid waste management programs and zero waste initiatives, and examine ideas for cooperation and innovation on plastics policy.
Improving Access to Community Spaces: Six government representatives from Indonesia will come to Seattle to develop strategies that enable creation of new systems and policies that improve laws, rules, norms, and organizational structures to improve accessibility for all segments of Indonesian Society.
The Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship Program (YTILI) is funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by American Councils for International in partnership with the World Affairs Council.
Young Transatlantic Leaders Initiative (YTILI): Using entrepreneurship as a tool for economic development, YTILI promotes mutual understanding, enhances business and leadership skills, and builds lasting partnerships between business leaders from Europe and the United States. Six entrepreneurs from Greece, Ireland, and Denmark will collaborate with Seattle-based organizations and businesses through a month-long Fellowship and explore the U.S. entrepreneurship ecosystem.
