About the Speaker
Representative Alexander Tah-Ray Yui is the current Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States, a position held since December 2023. With a rich diplomatic career, Representative Yui previously served as the Representative to the Taipei Representative Office in the European Union and Belgium in 2023 and as Taiwan’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs (2021-2023). He has also held numerous key roles, including Ambassador to Paraguay, Director-General for Latin American Affairs, and various diplomatic posts across the globe including New York and Geneva.
Representative Yui holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's Spanish Literature from Texas A&M University and has completed Executive Fellows programs at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and the London School of Economics.
