Andrea McCook
Andrea McCook, Associate Director, Research and Special Projects, has led the growing research program of the University of Washington’s Department of Family Medicine for over ten years. She supports strategic initiatives in the department and serves the wider UW research community in volunteer leadership roles.
Andrea joined the University of Washington with extensive experience managing teams and projects in non-profit organizations internationally and in the US. Her work has included leadership positions at the Washington Center for Nursing, the Foundation for Russian-American Economic Cooperation, Internews Azerbaijan and the European Human Rights Foundation. She has served on the board of the Seattle German Language School and volunteers with the Ronald McDonald House.
Andrea believes that awareness of the world beyond our borders is essential for addressing the key issues we face today. She is excited to network with like-minded people and explore opportunities for positive change.
