Brian Smith
Brian Smith is the Executive Vice President of Strategy & Insights at GBK Collective, a leading marketing strategy and insights consultancy. His areas of specialization include international marketing strategy, market entry, competitive positioning and messaging, and customer and partner segmentation. His extensive experience in the tech industry includes pivotal roles at Microsoft, where he led global marketing campaigns, and in several roles focused on emerging marketing, developed new approaches to product development, pricing and licensing, and channel development for China, Brazil, India, Russia, and Southeast Asia. Previously, Brian consulted clients with Deloitte Consulting in strategy and operations and led IT engineering with several investment banks in New York. Brian holds an International MBA from the University of Chicago Booth, a BA from Whitman College in German and Politics, and a certificate in Business, International Relations, and Political Economy from the London School of Economics. In his free time, Brian enjoys international affairs and traveling, and skiing, rugby, and sailing in the Pacific Northwest.
