Haresh Ved
Haresh Ved is a seasoned technocrat with 25+ years of proven experience in the corporate and startup world. He is the Founder and Managing General Partner of Cronus Ventures, an early-stage VC firm he launched in 2000. Haresh is the Founder and Chair of the TiE Angels Group Seattle (TAGS), an angel investment network he launched in 2013. He enhanced this syndication by experimenting with TIE Angels Alliance (TAA) in 2014 to promote collaboration between angel groups across TiE chapters globally. He is also a Board Member of TiE Seattle, a nonprofit with a mission to promote entrepreneurship.
Prior to this, Haresh spent more than a decade holding key technology leadership roles at Microsoft, creating pen-centric and mobile computing technologies, systems and products, including Tablet PCs, Pen Windows, Windows CE, Handheld and Pocket PCs. He played a key role in developing strategies and tools to take Microsoft products to international markets. He has gone through complete product development cycles and has shipped about a dozen products.
Haresh has been an angel investor for 20+ years and is an integral part of the startup ecosystem in the northwest. He is associated with multiple entrepreneur-centric organizations, nonprofits and academic institutions. He is interested in technology startups, particularly in the areas of AI/ML, Cloud, IoT, Analytics and Data Science. He enjoys working with entrepreneurs/startups as an advisor or board member. In his spare time, he loves to travel and build lifelong memories with his wife, Chhaya, and two sons, Ronak and Chirag.
