Jan Lüdert
Dr. Lüdert is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and an Associate Professor at City University of Seattle. Jan received a Ph.D. in International Relations from the department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He is an active World Affairs Council member and a Liu Institute for Global Issues scholar alumnus. Jan is a committed, passionate and award-winning educator as recognized by the prestigious Killam Teaching Award as well as the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program Award.
He holds a First Class Honors Masters of Arts in International Relations from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Public Policy from Hamburg University for Economics and Politics. Jan studied at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania focusing on sociology and economics. As a senior manager, Jan coordinated grassroots community programs in Botswana for Skillshare International. His research is policy focused, combining theory building with rigorous analysis and application. He writes for the Ivory Tower, an E-International relations blog and is a founding member of Ilkmade, a social network site for political science scholars, journalists, and practitioners.
