Kelsey Rauenhorst
Kelsey is born and bred in the PNW and so happy to be back in her hometown of Seattle after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her undergraduate degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. In her dedication for equity, she has lobbied on Capitol Hill to repeal the Mexico City policy in support of international women’s rights, participated in research that was utilized to increase the Living Wage in her college county, and initiated an overturn of discriminatory drivers licensing requirements for survivors of head injury in the state of Washington. She believes that access to international experiences is invaluable and should be available to all, regardless of socio-economic status. She hopes to spend her time at YPIN discovering how to make local events and international experiences more accessible. Outside of Co-Chairing the Flagship Event Committee at YPIN and working as a Marketing Specialist for Weyerhaeuser, a sustainable timber and lumber company, she loves spending time with her amazing partner and their three pets, traveling, supporting small businesses, and singing along to Broadway hits while taking a relaxing bubble bath!
