Lucy Kovach
Lucy Kovach is a recent graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a specialization in Public Health. Her interests beyond graduation include global healthcare access and policy making.
Last summer, Lucy took part in an intensive program with UCLA on international human rights and law in The Hague, Netherlands. This included analyzing the mechanisms, processes, and efficacy of the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice through live court hearings and courses on their histories. While there, she also spearheaded a meeting with her peers and Oxfam to get a glimpse into non-profit work and strategize about the globe’s future.
Apart from her studies, as an undergraduate Lucy worked as a facilitator for student
athletes in the Office of Academic Excellence, Peer Learning department and grew her love for sports even further by leading the Club Field Hockey team.
Lucy is excited to deepen her understanding of the world and make lasting connections as an Inten with the World Affairs Council!
