Megan Hanna
In her current role as an executive assistant Megan directly supports the Chief Operating Officer at Impinj, a high-growth industry leader in global RFID technology solutions. From her unique vantage point she plays a vital role in day-to-day operations of the engineering and operations leadership teams as well as working cross-functionally to drive organizational priorities. She?s inspired by the global challenges this technology stands to solve in the future, from reducing food waste to improving delivery of aid. Megan is a certified English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher and has taught many students from around the world both in the US and abroad. Closer to home, she volunteered with the St. James Immigrant Assistance program as a citizenship instructor. She is a former board member of the Young Professionals International Network (YPIN) in Seattle. There she led the Global Cafe discussion series, an initiative designed to promote greater community engagement on global issues. Other affiliations include the Aspen Institute in Berlin where she worked on civil society issues in Syria and Iran and the Kosciuszko Foundation. She has a decade of experience in community media both behind the scenes and on-air. She is the creator, host and producer of the podcast, “My Ten Songs.” Past guests include King County Executive Dow Constantine and the late Bill Anders, lunar module pilot for the Apollo 8 mission to the moon. An avid record collector, she hosts a weekly all-vinyl music show on SPACE 101.1FM. She recently completed her first short film as a producer and editor and looks forward to continuing to develop her skills in this area. Megan holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Tennessee and an MA in International Studies with a regional concentration in Russia and Central/Eastern Europe from the Korbel School at the University of Denver. She speaks German and is learning Russian.
