Nadia Schwedrsky
Nadia is a first year at the University of Washington, who is majoring in International Studies with concentrations in Latin America and Rights and Movements. Additionally, she is minoring in Spanish as a way to improve her ability to learn from about different people and cultures. Nadia is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, before moving to Seattle to attend college. Nadia has always had a passion for forging connections with people from different backgrounds and cultures, something she hopes to continue to do through her role at the World Affairs Council. Additionally, Nadia has always loved learning about the world we live in, its cultures, politics, histories, and so much more. She was able to explore these topics through organizations like Model UN and Girl Up in high school as well as her coursework then and in college. Furthermore, with many connections to the world of education, Nadia has always had a passion for ensuring everyone has access to quality education and is excited to help schools provide lessons and opportunities for students to learn global skills that are of increasing importance in today's world as well as learn about all the opportunities that are out there. In her free time, Nadia enjoys reading, watching sporting events at the University, going for walks, and baking.
