Shahzad Bhatti
Shahzad Bhatti is CEO of Axiom Learning, a company dedicated to helping every student access opportunity through its proprietary curricula, education technology and learning centers, including projects in partnership with the Gates Foundation and Harvard. Axiom’s flagship programs for kids with the most common learning differences (ADHD, Dyslexia and Executive Functioning deficit, among others) are considered by most to be the most effective interventions available today. Axiom supports school districts in 14 states across America and has ten offices across Boston, California, NYC, Seattle and Malaysia with pro bono operations helping refugees in Malaysia and Greece as well as supporting some of the poorest students in America.
Shahzad is also on America’s National Education Reform Advisory Board and was recently named an Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. Previously, Shahzad was Director of Investments at a large Asian sovereign wealth fund where he managed investments in Emerging Markets, Education, Renewables, Power, Biotechnology, Creative Arts and Technology. Shahzad was also Founder/CEO of the SAB Negotiation Group, turned around Website.com as CEO, taught negotiation at Harvard Law School, was a corporate attorney in Tokyo and Washington and co-founded the humanitarian relief NGO Doctors Worldwide which currently has operations in 13 countries. Shahzad was named a Young Global Leader by the WEF in 2009 and elected to the 2016 DNC as a delegate from Washington state.
Shahzad graduated from Harvard Law School (JD), Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government (MPA) and Columbia University (Political Science-Economics and Biochemistry) where he was elected captain of the track team. Shahzad is happily married with three amazing kids and, when he isn’t working, can be found taking his rapidly declining vertical jump to the nearest basketball court.
