International Education in Seattle Schools and Resources for Global Learning
On August 29, 2016 we welcomed in the new school year in partnership with Seattle International Schools, Global Visionaries, and The Ellison Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia studies at the University of Washington. We were joined by UW Professor of Social Studies Education Walter Parker, and teachers participated in a series of teacher-led workshops all about international education. Workshops included sessions on Earning the SPS International Education Category; Globalizing Curriculum through Interdisciplinary project-Based Learning; Developing Global Competence; Investigating the World and Recognizing Perspectives; and Running a Global Leadership Class in High School. Below is Global Classroom’s updated packet with resources for Global Learning.
